PROFILE
The band describes its own style as 'HeavyRock' or 'Industrial,' although there are hardly moments in their music where you find these styles. More obvious is the quite usual rock with pop elements and the unavoidable nuances provided by the visual scene. Furthermore, you can't say anything about an evolution in their two years of history, since the different styles in their music were present from the very beginning.Their popularity derives mostly from the popularity of two of the members. The vocalist was earlier active with the quite famous band Chronosphere; the drummer was in the major band D-SHADE, being the last active member of that popular band.

BIOGRAPHY
The history of as.milk began on April 1st of 2007, when former CLOSE guitarist KENJI and former D-SHADE drummer YUJI started the band as a duo. Soon after, the second guitarist saki, who was a newcomer to the scene, and vocalist jouei, mostly known for his activities with Chronosphere, joined. Since they had no official bassist, several support members were hired. For example, ex-GHOST bassist ZERO was active around the beginning of 2008.The band needed three months to get on stage. On July 24th, they played their first concert at Shinjuku Holiday. The following concerts were all held in or near Tokyo. At the end of August, the pre-sale of their first single Virgin Milk was started at Like an Edison stores and two of their concerts. Also around that time, their first DVD went on sale; it featured one song and was only available at their lives. The official release date of the single was the September 1st. Only four days later, their first omnibus participation was released.More concerts followed as well as a second single and their first official DVD, and a first short tour was held in December. These releases were the first under their new label Neo Mystic Music Entertainment, which seems to be at least partially run by YUJI. They also participated on the second volume of the JUDGMENT omnibus series. However, things went not always that good and at the end of February 2008, KENJI left the band and immediately joined the band ARBEIT. One month passed until the band found new guitarist hisui (ex-GHOST) and also added their first official bassist, C.V (abbreviation for Caesar Valentine). The band restarted their live activities and played another short tour in the summer to promote their third single, zantou/ORANGE, which was released on July 16th. Until the end of the year, nothing special happened. On December 20th, they played their first oneman, which they called Break Through ~GATE 01~. At this concert they sold a DVD, which was immediately sold out. On the last day of the year, they participated in a countdown live with bands such as lynch., SCREW, LuLu and GLACIER. In 2009, like in 2008, YUJI plans to play several lives with a session band called Di-LUMINA, whose line-up also includes members from ILLUMINA. In January C.V decided to be named by his real name: masato.
