Black:List

PROFILE
Though Black:List is a young band, formed in 2007, its members are no amateurs. A visual band of dark aesthetics, their music combines crushing power and extreme precision and, in the midst of their potent metal sound, sorrowful melodies appear. Having welcomed a new vocalist at the start of 2008, the more than promising four man band has been overtaking the scene with their severe, heavy sound. They are the new generation of loud-kei, the extremist visual band now making themselves known.

BIOGRAPHY
Formed around guitarist TOMOZO (ex-SULFURIC ACID) in January, 2007, Black:List's first live followed in March. The band was off to a rough start, as bassist HISAKI and vocalist RYO departed in September, and the band paused activities. However, the guys were back on their feet soon after, joined by their current vocalist KYOTARO (former √eight) in January of 2008, and with him came a new sound and energy.Keeping up a rigorous performance schedule throughout the beginning of the year, their first single MELANCHOLY was released in May, and was so well-received, a second pressing was issued. To promote the single, starting in July and ending in September Black:List will be on their countrywide tour RIOT '08 1st IMPACT. They've also confirmed a tour of Europe in October, before they even reach their two year mark. Metal and visual fans especially will want to be sure and keep this talented band on your radars as they continue to rip up the scene with their powerful sound!

Note: Black:List announced at their live at Takadanobaba AREA, that they'll be disbanding in the beginning of 2009. It really sucks that they have done such thing. First juliadoll and now Black:List. They've made some awesome music, why disband now.
